Four Handsome Men Will Be Two Couples In Two New Shows

Above we've got Justin Bartha of The Hangover II fame, who'll play the husband of Andrew Rannells, on the bottom (!), of The Book of Mormon fame. The show's a Ryan Murphy (Glee) creation and it'll be called The New Normal. It's in pilot-mode and it's about a surrogacy; Ellen Barkin plays a glamorous grandma to Georgia King, who'll pop the baby out.

And here we've got Brandon Routh on top, a former Superman, and Michael Urie, of Ugly Betty fame on the (total bottom), who will play a gay couple in a new CBS half-hour pilot called Partners. It's from the creator of Will & Grace. Get a load at this description: "The multicamera comedy, from Will & Grace creators Max Mutchnick and David Kohan, centers on lifelong friends and business partners —architects Charlie, who is straight, and Louis (Urie), who is gay. Routh, repped by UTA and Main Title, will play Louis’ steady partner, a former alcoholic, club-hopping model, now a sober, vegan nurse."

Thanks, Towley.

  1. I'm not looking forward to the latter...and not because I found Mutchnick's appearance on Drag Race underwhelming. Why wasn't Charo a judge?
